melanie wilcox is a freelance writer who recently moved to the Asheville, North Carolina area. Her passion for all things art started at a very young age, and she could often be found reading, writing or painting rather than playing with classmates. At the age of 13, she discovered the performing arts and developed an interest in acting and entertaining. After taking a two-week acting and improvisation course, she went on to act in several community theater productions at the Youngstown Playhouse in Youngstown, Ohio. She was publicly recognized by the theater for her abilities as supporting actress in two separate productions.
As her interest in the arts broadened, Melanie elected to go to school for fashion design and was accepted to the Savannah College of Arts and Design in Savannah, Georgia. Shortly before graduating with a degree in textile arts, she took a class in screenwriting that reintroduced her to the world of performing arts as well as writing. Despite graduating in 2009 with a BFA in Fibers, Melanie pursued her interest in writing after college and has had several articles published in online magazines.
After nearly five years of school, Asheville provided a much needed change of scenery for Melanie, and she was eager to get involved in artistic projects around the community. She is currently preparing for her first experience with acting for the screen in independent filmmaker Keith Braman's third production, Devil's Vein. Melanie hopes to pursue more acting and artistic opportunities in Asheville, as well as continue working as a freelance writer.
walter scott cornelius has a wonderful ability to adapt to pretty much any situation. Different groups of his friends have different names for him ranging from Corn to Scott to Walt. Because of this ability he rarely has any trouble making friends or getting along with others. He can seem quiet and reserved but that's just part of his watchful nature. He enjoys observing others and the different ways people interact. He can also be quite boisterous and throw himself in front of a large crowd of people with ease. Finding joy in the simple pleasures in life, this gent has a pretty good handle on managing stress and making friends. Music and the great outdoors are just a couple of the activities that help keep him happy and content. Also, disc golf. Blue Volcano welcomes him to the cast.
