keith braman is a writer and independent filmmaker living near Asheville, NC. He attended a 2-year college on a baseball scholarship, then made the roster of a university team as a walk-on and was invited to join Phi Beta Kappa his junior year of college.

To date he has written 2 novels, one entitled Devil's Batch, the other, Burial Ground, 36 short stories, 1 how-to book, and lyrics to over 100 songs. He has also penned 7 feature-length screenplays including 2 romantic comedies, 2 horror, 1 drama, and 2 psychological dramas. All his writings are available for purchase or option. The budgets for his screenplays range from a low-budget horror set in the woods of NC to a high-budget New York City romantic comedy. The first draft of this romantic comedy screenplay, before 5 revisions, was a quarter-finalist in the prestigious Page Awards.

Keith has written, directed, and edited two feature-length independent movies, the first, House of Poets, a drama that has a reality show feel and mostly improvised within the guidelines of a blueprint and The Purple Box, a psychological drama which earned an award of merit at Indie Fest in California. Both are available for distribution.

Keith has written an instructional book entitled, Pixels & Pizza, A Guide to Ultra-Low Budget Moviemaking, where he explains step by step how to make a movie inexpensively and shares a personal journal kept during the production of his first feature, House of Poets..  His first book of fiction, The Bartow Abductions, is due out in the Spring of 2014.


In 2001 he optioned 3 short stories to an independent film producer, co-writing a screenplay from one of those stories for a short film that premiered at the Sedona International Film Festival and was viewed at the Hometown Film Festival in New York City.

terry nickelson started acting when asked to play the role of a corrupt diplomat on Doordarshan, India's national television network and became the most popular TV villain in India for the duration of the series. Then he played Charles, Sr, a supporting role in Ele, My Friend, an international feature film. He has also performed on stage in three countries. He liked the creative experience of film production so much that he began writing screenplays for independent producers as a way to stay involved.
After performing crew and cast duties for the Discovery Channel series Outlaws and Lawmen of the Old West he went to central Africa to produce a documentary for the United Nations on the Rwanda genocide and its effects on the surrounding countries, his first project with full creative and editorial responsibilities. He went on to produce The Kabilo Approach about using the Quran to introduce child spacing as a health issue in remote West African villages and documented for archives the unconventional practices of African witch doctors treating patients with serious mental issues.

Terry was assistant director for Monument City, a major, independent motion picture shot in Washington, DC. His most recent project was co-director of the awarding winning, feature length documentary Chaplains Under Fire, shot on location in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Germany and the US. Terry says he's excited about working with the cast and crew on Director Keith Braman's newest motion picture.

christopher russell is a creative, keen observer of the world around him who enjoys using his abilities in his career and hobbies. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and growing up in Greenville, South Carolina, while also traveling around the country and to Europe has given him a broad and unique perspective on life.

From the age of thirteen, Christopher spent time volunteering at the hospital and working around people in a variety of capacities. He graduated from college with a B.A. in Psychology in 2002, and has spent years working around children and adults as a teacher, caretaker, and childcare professional.

Outside of his abilities in working with people, his talents and hobbies include music, painting, sculpture, writing and more. Christopher attended in 03 Full Sail University for sound engineering, and went on to work for production companies in the areas of lighting and sound. He also maintains his home art studio here in Asheville, and has presented his works in various art galleries while living in Orlando, Florida.

All of these experiences combined have led him to create story concepts for television and film that comment on the humorous and intricate details of our lives. As he works on these ideas and continues his work with people, Christopher is excited about the birth of his first child, a girl in January!









robert walsh is a musician and graphic designer from Hampton, VA by way of Durango, CO.  After graduating from Fort Lewis College last summer with a BA in Communications and concentrations in film editing and set design, he moved to Asheville, NC to pursue a life outside of convention. A life-long lover of art and music, Robert constantly strives to learn (and create) new forms of social dialogue. He draws influence from his travels, both abroad and domestic, and his hilarious but tragically short lived career as a "professional musician."


tim gardner is a musician, recording engineer, performer, session musician, acoustic music producer, and banjo builder. A long-time resident of the Asheville/Brevard area, Tim has performed with numerous bluegrass and roots artists at venues and festivals all over the Southeast. He has played on or engineered several projects that have received regional or national airplay and placement on roots/Americana radio charts. He owns Coyote Ridge Audio, an independent music and audio production company with a small but reasonably equipped recording studio running Pro Tools 9. Tim is also a skilled live sound engineer, music teacher, and woodworker.

New to the filmmaking world, Tim is excited to be working with Blue Volcano on Devil’s Vein. He has an interest in anything technical or ‘behind-the-scenes’, especially tasks relating to audio, sound design, and post-production sound mixing. He enjoys spending time outdoors and with his wife and 7-month old daughter.


leigh castidario gray is an aspiring artist with a wide range of interests.  He is a talented poet and recently released his first publication. Leigh enjoys performing his work as he has done in several poetry readings in the community and plans to do more by creating a venue for other local poets.  He was a member of the Blue Volcano cast in the 2011 production of The Purple Box, and also worked behind the scenes as a production assistant and photographer.  He enjoys performing and would like to gain as much experience as he can in the performing arts and filmmaking. He loves nature and enjoys activities that involve the outdoors such as hiking, mountain biking, Parkour and rock climbing.  He is also a black belt in Shuri-Ryu Karate.  Leigh is currently working on a graphic novel and is in the process of writing his second book of poetry.
